Recommended Experience: Position requires strong personal presence and people skills to be credible with Asian denominational and church-planting partners. The applicant should also be a flexible self-starter with the ability to lead, encourage, and motivate a ministry team.

Work in a strategic role presenting God's work through the Sports Friends ministry using a variety of channels, strategies and media (such as video, web content, social media content, print articles, photo albums, and publicity). The Communications Coordinator will set the direction for Sports Friends' communications in areas such as content creation, strategy, messaging and branding. He or she will direct a team of media specialists in various field locations, as they work together to engage Sports Friends' audiences around the world.

Recommended Experience: Position requires prior communications experience and strong written communication skills.

Location: Current opening in US, with opportunity to travel to Sports Friends' fields.

Term of Service: Long term (2+ years)


• Finance Manager

The Sports Friends Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of the Sports Friends ministry around the world. General responsibilities include operating accounts payable, preparing general journals, receiving and reconciling bank statements, preparing monthly funds, receiving reports for the Projects Database (PURLS), distributing monthly project statements, and preparing 6-month project financial statements. Secondary responsibilities include providing regular assistance for field missionaries in fulfilling their financial responsibilities and supporting the ISS team by assisting with various administrative tasks.

Recommended Experience: Associates Degree in Accounting. Minimum of 1 year accounting experience. Competence in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Professional manner, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work with mathematical concepts. Enjoys working within a team, with ability to be flexible.

• Graphic Designer

Help present what God is doing through the Sports Friends ministry in an appealing, creative, clear, and consistently branded way. Projects will include web design, brochures, e-newsletters, info graphics, year-end reviews, and fundraising campaigns, both for use online and in print.

Recommended Experience: Training in Graphic Design desirable, but natural flair, the desire to learn, and a good portfolio of previous work are more important than a formal education in design. Must have excellent competency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and good written skills.

Location: Current opening in US

• Media Specialist

Work to capture stories of God's grace and transforming power that have taken place through the Sports Friends ministry and create appropriate media (video, web content, social media content, print articles, photo albums, publicity etc.) to communicate what God is doing through this ministry to various audiences (donors, ministry partners, recruits, trainees etc.)

Recommended Experience: In order to contribute to the creation of high-quality media, this position requires experience and skill in one or more of the following areas: video, still photography, writing and editing, web design, and/or graphic design.

Location: Current openings in US, with opportunity to travel to Sports Friends' fields.

Term of Service: Available for both short (1-2 years) and long (2+ years) terms


• Partner & Fund Development Coordinator

Work closely with the Sports Friends leadership team, Board of Advisors, and SIM Sending Offices to develop and enhance relationships with ministry partners and donors (individuals, foundations and churches). Aspects of the job will include vision-sharing, meeting with potential partners/donors, organizing "friend-raising" events, coordinating and leading vision trips to our field locations, mobilizing prayer, and communicating appreciation to our partners.

Recommended Experience: Position requires strong communication skills, confidence to engage with leaders and influential people, and the ability to coordinate effectively. Any prior work experience that has helped develop these skills would be valuable.
